Skilled Workforce
Ontario’s long-established forest industry has created and sustained a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce. The province also boasts a robust network of secondary mechanical, civil, and trades companies that have supported the forest and mining industry for generations.

Strategically Located
Ontario is strategically located next door to the world’s largest economy. In 2018, Ontario exported almost $6.5 billion (CAD) in forest products to the United States, accounting for more than 96% of the province’s total wood product exports. But Ontario’s opportunity doesn’t end at the U.S. border. In 2018, Ontario exported more than $6.7 billion (CAD) in exports worldwide.
